Birthday Weekend

Its funny how this was a weekend of bday celebrations and was totally uneventful, lol!

woke up late saturday morning since we were up til about 2 the night before playing on our pcs. after a quick brunch, i managed to get ian to take a picture of the DH, me and the dogs on the swing. still dont have my camera, so it was just the camera phone for this shoot. sigh, sure miss having a camera on hand :(

<>
the DH had a great smile, but the dogs could not be bothered to look at the camera, lol!
this was a closer shot but the dogs werent still cooperating

This time tilda managed to look at the camera, but mutt was more interested at looking at something else. he is just so antipatico, mutt is!
by this time though, the DH's patience is wearing thin, hence the thin smile too.

so, even if the dogs looked like they were each giving the other the cold shoulder, i decided to pick this because of the DH's cute smile. i cropped a bit of the sides and added some grass to cover the dirt under the swing...Ps is just great for fake landscaping i say!lol. will post this on my Fb in the morning for LBI to find whenever she opens her Fb.

DH had to leave earlier than usual as he was to meet up with a friend who'd brought home some metal shirts. then it was judo after that. i stayed home, hoping to get a headstart on my SB downloads...as well as post LBI's bday video on youtube. but no luck as the internet immediately conked out on me,arrggh. i called globe's service line to report the kink, but all i got was a job order number for my troubles. dunno when and if their service men will get around to actually coming over. so i worked off line filing my SB stuff into my ever-burgeoning files! i do need to get an external HD soon, i can feel the pc creeping with some tasks.

DH came home and we had the last of the leftovers from previous meals. then we decided to watch some dvd's (since we couldnt get online anyhow). so maybe the internet disconnection was a good thing too...more quality time with the DH,yay! always look for the silver lining, my motto is!

we tried watching "killers" starring ashton kutcher and katherine heigl, but the dvd wasnt playing right, so we gave up before the DH threw a fit(he absolutely hates it when the dvds foul up on both our players.) so we watched "nomad" instead, a movie about ablai, a descendant of kublai khan. it showed how beautiful and remarkable was the history of the kazakhs people...and then borat happened! what a crazy man, he so totally ruined people's perceptions(mine at least) of kazakhstan with his shenanigans!!although in fairness, he also singlehandedly put kazakhstan on the map for a lot of people too(especially me).:)
we had a short intermission when we heard some squeaking outside our window and it wasnt tilda playing with her squeaky ball! we were so gratified to see her carrying a big rat in her mouth! yay, our baby girl is an awesome mouser, er, ratter!! all the food we ply her with is soo worth it, good girl! while i fed her a reward of a handful of kibbles, the DH buried the huge mama-rat in our own pet/pest cemetary! a good night's work there tilda honey!

back indoors,we watched a steve austen (aka stonecold in wwe) in "the damage". so we ended up sleeping around 3am and  i thought id wake up noonish if not later. but around 6ish, i was woken up by some barking/whining. i got up because i thought tilda had fallen down the concrete drain and gotten stuck again. but what greeted me was tilda holding yet another rat in her maw!! not wanting to do anything with the rat,i backed away, but she kept following me, like when we play fetch with her ball! i finally got her to drop the rat by bribing her with more kibbles, while mama scopped up the victim in a dustpan! isnt she awesome?! her recent killing spree had put her back in the good graces of both mama and the DH! i cant get angry with my furbaby, she's just being a pup after all...a really mischievous pup, but a pup nonetheless!

i tried going back to sleep but DH mentioned the thumping drone of music from outside. he thought it was from a jeep parked outside but i peeked out the gate and it came from the blasted carinderia from across the street! darn them. i couldnt go back to sleep after that. so i checked if the internet had been resuscitated and it was thankfully back! i did get a couple of hours work online after that. then i cooked breakfast for everybody, and more SB DLg for me. had to help out a cousin who had a 2 month old baby in the hospital for pneumonia...but not after getting a stern lecture on family planning and smoking cessation, hehe! my 2 pet peeves(smoking in the poor and irresponsible parenting!) in the whole wide world.

i had planned to go to SM to pay our globe bill(and to give them a piece of my mind), but i was totally wracked out by the nap i took around noon. i had dreams the whole time,  some stressful (burning and wasted scones) and all tiring!jem even said i snored! ugh. i finally swam out of oblivion, and since the internet had come back on, it was back to catching up again.

i wasnt in the mood for cooking a whole 3 course dinner, so instead i made a quick vegetable(alugbati & ground pork) soup, and the DH and i walked to a nearby andok's for some roast pork belly (yeah more pork). dinner was a quick affair...but we should be watching a dvd again tonight. what's it gonna be, kiddo: robo-geisha(soo cheesy,it'l be hilarious) or more bashing and brawling with another steve austen flick. oh well, either way, it should be nice just having QT with the DH.

back to the bday weekend: yesterday was ditas' birthday, but we figured they had their own celebrating to do. and besides, the DH and i were abstaining from alcohol while we're (seriously)trying to get pregnant this time. (but im feeling like im pms'g again (not the bad kind,(yet) just the physical signals, is all.)could be plan b or c (for clomiphene, hehe) for us...

and today was LBI's bday but in  the light of the latest cold-war at 20th, she decided to skip town and be with her sister and 2 other sons in manila. joben said uncle noli, auntie lorna and auntie jo were also traveling to manila to surprise her!
although we would have enjoyed the party we had planned for her(financed by the 2 wealthiest brothers, of course), it was a relief to not be harassed this weekend, and just be total veggies! again, silver lining, folks! :)

till another time then, au revoir!
