In the middle of cooking dinner tonight, i had to wait for my only frying pan to cool between dishes. (yeah, im buying a couple of new pans, preferably beka, when we're in manila 2 weeks from now.)so i took a little break to play fetch with tilda with her squeaky ball..at least a variation of fetch as far as tilda is concerned. she doesnt bring the ball back to me, instead she always brings it to mutt, probably to invite him to play with her. anyway, i managed to coax her to bring me her ball by tapping on the bench beside me. so she would jump up and id be able to throw the ball again. we must have done it about 5 times, me sitting on the bench the whole time and tilda running towards the gate for the ball. she must have gotten tired after that, coz she uncharacteristically climbed onto my lap and plopped down! soo cute! i had to call the DH to come see...and to take a few snaps of us.
one of the first shots the DH took.
a better shot of us. notice the chewed arm rest of the white seat at the left...tilda is going through a serious chewing phase. i tell ya, nothing is safe in the yard anymore.
DH likes this shot best. tilda has pet-eyes, while i have a milder case of red-eye,sigh.
so after this post, im gonna need a big scrubbing down, lol. not that tilda stinks, she doesnt. but i remember she had a fairly good drenching this am during the thunderstorm. and boy, was that a huge storm, complete with thunder and lightning! it felt like the heavens was cracking open right over our ceiling! and with our curtains wide open, i could see that lightning flash behind shut eyelids, dang. i went outside to check on them when i heard mutt snapping at her. i suspected that tilda was trying to get into the doghouse, and mutt didnt want her in. poor dog, she tried to slip inside when i opened the back door. this has got to be the first and fiercest storm she's had to witness. but i read somewhere that dogs mustnt be coddled during storms, else they think storms are to be feared. so since mutt didnt want to share, i dropped some old shirts/rags onto her favorite corner beside the outdoor sink, and she gratefully sank down to it. it was a relief to finally have the storm abate after that. so long story short...tilda was a wet dog earlier today and i dont want to smell like her! so its ba-bath-time for me now. :)
