tickled pink

i opened my blog this morning and happily surprised to have... 2 followers!!! does that make me a true-blue blogger then?!! hahaha! yeah, im dorky like that,LOL!

yesterday, shelly of ScrapScraps  was sweet enough to actually follow me even without my followers widget on too! i had earlier disabled it thinking it'd be painfully pathetic to have it on the blog and nobody signing up, LOL! who would even read this anyway. i havent even told any of my "real" friends on FB, not even family, about this blog. im weird: im a bit embarassed about them reading the stuff that i gush and rant about...but not embarassed for other people (like scrapbooking friends) to read the same. maybe i feel id be less candid if i was actually writing for an "audience" of family and friends, so i like that they still havent discovered this. oh i know they will in the future, but for now, im happy to just have an online-diary(the main purpose of this gig in the first place)...and a "bench" on which to sit and visit with the SB friends i make! and then this morning, i saw corrie of Jumlai Scraps as my newest follower, so im thinking two followers couldnt be a fluke!! so shelly & corrie, thank you for befriending me, really warms my heart. XXXOOOXX

and that's the wonderful thing about the scrapbooking community(or should i say, world?)...the residents are such welcoming and nurturing sweeties. they always take time to answer any questions or calls for help. and the freebies they put out? enough to fill out your terabyte HDs in no time!! and the tutorials are always well thought out, thank y'all for holding our hands as we take baby steps into digi-scrapping. :)

im having fun making new friends here and learning, learning, learning everyday! sometimes, it can get overwhelming and a teeny bit intimidating with all the amazing stuff other scrappers create! just strolling through the galleries is a head-shaking experience, im in awe with the outstanding amount and range of talent out there! so much inspiration, so little time to yield to it.

this is gonna be a short post since the DH and i need to leave for a couple of errands. plus i seriously need to get off my butt, and grab some fresh air!:)
